The Race to World First is upon us. Celebrate the upcoming release of the first raid in Dragonflight with even more Twitch Drops—then, watch the best of the best race to end Raszageth the Storm-Eater’s plans to free her fellow incarnates within the Vault of the Incarnates.


1. Drop: Perpetual Purple Fireworks




Watch at least two hours of WoW: Dragonflight content of select World of Warcraft channels while this Twitch Drop is active on the channels below to earn the festive Perpetual Purple Firework toy.

1.1 Schedule





Eligible channels can be found on Blizzard's News page here under the Fireworks section.

2. Viewer Eligibility



To participate in Twitch Drops you need to link your Twitch Account to your Battle.net account:

Login to BattleNet > Account Settings > Connections > Twitch > +Connect

According to Blizzard's Eligibility:
If you have changed your password or made any changes to your Twitch or Battle.net account, you will have to relink your accounts. When you relink, there will be a 7-day cooldown before you can relink a new Twitch account.

The streamer you watch or gift subs to mush have their drops turned on and be streaming in the World of Warcraft category.

Once you've watched for x amount of time, and/or gifted two subs, you get a notification on your Twitch dashboard at the top right that you are eligible for the Drop. Click it to claim your drop!

Note One: The drop MUST be claimed by the time the campaign ends on Twitch or else it expires!
Note Two: Once claimed, you must have your Battle.net linked within 7 days or your reward will expire!
After you've claimed your rewards on Twitch, please make sure you're logging into the Battle.net region you'd like to receive the drop(s) on, as the first region you log into will be where your items are delivered. It can take up to 24 hours to receive your reward(s) in game after claiming.

Does this mean a new era of wow doing drops? I know the kids get excited when they get drops for their game.. I was weary of linking my account to blizz. But I have 2x authentication and staggered passwords.. Nessy has been around since launch. Hate to sound like this in regards to a game - but it would kill me if i lost this account lol. I have over 600 days played on ness alone. (insomnia and pain distraction)

asmo-whatever his name is listed as one on blizzard page. I gifted 2 subs early this morning but no code or anything yet.. I only found these channels too late . :( Hubby chose asmo.

Still no code. Yes he was streaming live, hes on the list - i gifted 2 subs in his channel. It's been almost a week now

It said 11 days, so i opened it on *payment* lol. They said ask twitch, twitch said ask blizzard. I noticed blizz has an entire help section on twitch /youtube downloads (youtube??) So , i was on the last day..no answer in sight . So i doublechecked if it said they were dropping the pet..and gifted another sub ..and nothing. 1 more...i got the code. SO i paid 20$ Id rather give 20 dollars to a charity thru their store. If they plan on making regular twitch drops they need to figure it out before hand. Meanwhile - i put all my gold into blizz balance and 25 real dollars to buy the year sub because i wanted the murloc and bug mount. I cant use balance for *sub* (even tho u can buy subs at the store using it) Im hoping the murloc and bug are in the mount store. *you can use a debit card or cc * ok but i have no $$ to use it lol. I have twin 17 year old boys. they eat constantly.

Um hello. I'm curious if this is gonna work:
I'm using twitch prime and it lets me give one free sub every month. I subbed to one of lister streamers with my "free" sub from prime, and subbed to another one with regular recurring sub. Did I mess up something, or does it qualify for Ichabod?

They have to be gift subs to the channel, not regular subs. It also has to be done while the eligible streamer is streaming in the WoW category. There's also been mixed messages on whether or not anonymous subs work, so I'd say don't do the gift subs anonymously just in case.

Ive been *watching* for almost 8 hours now and the pet hasnt shown up. Does it take a while? I read it was a code. Maybe im not looking the right place?

The code will show up in your Twitch messages once you gift two subs to an eligible streamer while they are actively streaming in the WoW category.

Am I understanding correct?
Buy these "gift subs" for money and grant them to some streamer and you get the pet?
OK, i will never get this - I will not offer my banking information to that twitch.tv site.
Very sad :-(

You only have to use a credit card, not your bank details. Or you can you a Paypal account.

I too didn't want to link the accounts. But my wow account is double protected now. I rotate my passwords to everything about every 3 days. Use PayPal and it's covered. Right around the time I got hacked (the first time in 17 years), they bought tokens thru battlenet which was locked to a debit card. They, I THINK, ordered some other stuff at other places so not exactly sure which they got first. Either way, they stopped it..plus - it's a debit card and we had already paid bills lol.

Well I gifted 2 subs which never showed up in video chat? but can't seem to find you listed as a Drops enabled channel for the Feldrake. I am streamin ignorant can't enable chat still can't get your channel to show up in my "following" list... lol have no clue if I did any of it right.

I got my Feldrake from watching my own stream as well as others. So I'm not sure what issue might be happening there as long as you watched a total of 4 hours between any drop-enabled streamer.

As for the subs, was this while I was streaming? I can't be offline when the subs are gifted, and it doesn't work if you're watching a video of a past stream.

While you were streaming as far as I could tell, you appeared to be talking with ppl who were chatting in the stream. First ever attempt to watch a stream didn't realize it had to say LIVE in the upper right corner. I did find the Timestamp in PayPal: December 1, 2022 4:13:17 AM PST.
Like I said Streamin ignorant. lol
I guess I did just get the Feldrake but Ichabod isn't showing at all... Meps!
Oh well. :D

Sorry I didn't see this until now, but for drops 1 (which was over last night) & 2 you can watch 4 hours of anyone streaming in the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight category, not just me. ^^

For the 3rd drop & Ichabod we're waiting for Blizzard to release their list of eligible streamers.

how does channel support work? i noticed the drops but... the gifted subs? is blizz choosing from big names? i could see it helping some smaller streamers if they do i ichabod like the others.

I think they're trying to make it as widely available as possible, so I don't think it'll just be the big streamers.

I got the Dragon Kite today. I noticed something interesting, the old one I got from TCG long ago is cageable, the new one from Twitch is not cageable! So maybe there are really 2 variation of this pet, cageable and non-cageable versions?

I believe the WoW team somehow managed to flag one of them as cageable, and one as uncageable. Aside from that they are exactly the same ^^
